Jack Sits In with The Alphabeticians

I took Jack to see The Alphabeticians today (Mr. Hoo and Mr. E). He got on stage with them for the last few songs. They were really nice and let Jack do a few solos. He was having a rough morning since two of his grandparents had to go back to Al-da-bama today and this really helped. When it was over, he casually took off his guitar, placed it on the nearest amp and turned around as if he were waiting for autographs (Actually, he was really so excited it was hard to talk for a little while).

Last Day of School

Today is Jack's last day in the Transition Room at the CDC. He starts pre-school in a week It is amazing to see how much he as grown. Here is the Journal from today.

We're finally able to get outside between rain showers. Last weekend, Jack got his first real bike, so we've been spending a lot of time at the park riding. Also, the Zoo train has started going again, so we try to do that as much as we can.

Jack went on a field trip to the park today. The weather couldn't have been better. I caught up with them for lunch and it seemed like everyone was having a great time!

Library Day

When Jack found out on Monday that he was going to get to go to the library today, he couldn't stop talking about it. I think he was more excited about the bus ride to and from than the actual destination. Here are a few pictures. I really like these pictures because the other two kids have been with Jack since he started at the Mentor CDC when he was 10 months old.

Jack's Birthday Month

Jack has had a very full birthday month.

He's had a few parties,

taken some trips,

been to the pumpkin patch (more than once),

carved a pumpkin,

used the potty,

and even spent the night in the hospital!

Jack had to get a 24 hour EEG evaluation, but it went fine and he handled it much better than any of us expected.

This last weekend, we spent a few days at Great Wolf Lodge with a few friends. We had a great time, but are a little too exhausted to go Trick-or-Treating again tonight (we had a mini version at the lodge). Jack had SO much fun staying at home and seeing all the kids come to the house. Mostly because he doesn't know better.

He was a little confused as to why we were giving out all the good food and why Santa showed up...

Not much has been going on lately. Jack has started a new year at school with new teachers. He is really enjoying all the new toys and activities in his new class. I'll try to keep up with posting the journals. Here is a quick video I took at the part last weekend.

We got a zoo pass this summer, so Jack has been spending lots of time there. He loves the animals, but his most favorite thing is the train..of course.

Jack had a great time at school this week. Since we finally have nice weather, he has been spending a lot of time outside. His favorites are still bikes and wagons, but its nice to see him staying interested in some art projects at least long enough for his teachers to get some pictures;)

I got an email today from Jack's teacher about how much he was "into" painting today. This is one of the many reasons why I'm so glad he gets to try new stuff like this out at school!

Field Trip to OMSI

Betsy took Jack and his friend Addisyn to OMSI today. They had a great time and got to play in some water, have a puppet show, and they placed second in the Texas Hold'em tournament.

I finally had a chance to go through a bunch of pictures we've taken this spring. Jack is doing great. His favorite thing to do right now is riding bikes so we get outside anytime it's not raining. Or we just ride inside...
