Jack Update

First, Jack is doing great. For those of you that didn't know, Jack was taken to the hospital Sunday with a febrile seizure. It was unbelievably scary for all of us, but it turns out that it is not an uncommon thing in babies. I had never heard of it, but Britain sees it very often in the hospital. Betsy was watching Jack that day since Britain was at work and I was traveling back from a business trip to Sweden. Jack was admitted to the pediatric floor where Britain works. The nurses and DRs were amazing. Sunday night was very hard because Jack had a reaction to the medicine that many children have. He didn't even seem to recognize us, was not able to sleep very well, and was very agitated. Even though Britain has seen this same reaction lots of times, we were terrified that he wouldn't snap out of it because it had been 12 hours since he was given the medicine. At 5AM we got him back to sleep, he slept for an hour and woke up back to his old self. Within a few minutes he was playing and seemed unaffected by the whole thing.

Jack's getting prepped for an EEG. We had a great neurologist that read the results and said it looked completely normal!

After getting the leads stuck to his head, they wrapped it and he got to relax for the next 20 minutes while they recorded the results.

This one show the IV that was put into his head. I couldn't wait for them to get it out, but they kept it in the whole time in case he needed any fluids or medicine. Luckily, he didn't.

These next 2 are videos. They should start playing if you click on them.
